I won’t buy produce from Walmart because I’ve seen bugs crawling around inside their packaged greens. Actually I try to stay away from Walmart entirely, but that was one of the worst experiences.

A biologist friend told me if you hear frogs croaking at night, its a sign of a healthy local ecosystem.

I hope they appreciate it.

Why is this even a story? I’ve found all sorts of things in fresh vegetables (including a hefty black rat snake while still in the store that I pointed out to the produce manager). It’s not news, just a casual event that you deal with and move on.

When I managed a Garden Center, we had all manner of small amphibians making it from Florida to Wisconsin via houseplants and tropical plants I would order.

They were pretty cute, and none poisonous, thank goodness!

At least it was just a frog and not one of those big-@zz SPIDERS you sometimes get with a bunch of bananas!

Praline: Next we have number four, 'crunchy frog'.

Milton: Ah, yes.

Praline: Am I right in thinking there's a real frog in here?

Milton: Yes. A little one.

Praline: What sort of frog?

Milton: A dead frog.

Praline: Is it cooked?

Milton: No.

Praline: What, a raw frog?

(Superintendent Parrot looks increasingly queasy.)

Milton: We use only the finest baby frogs, dew picked and flown from Iraq, cleansed in finest quality spring water, lightly killed, and then sealed in a succulent Swiss quintuple smooth treble cream milk chocolate envelope and lovingly frosted with glucose.

There was a big spider crawling over the bin of nectarines I’d just picked a couple out of last week. I didn’t pick out any more...

One of my clients has a co making prepackaged salads for several large restaurant fast food chains.

If you saw the people working there you would never eat a salad again from those chains.

Basically homeless folks or one step above homeless who walk to the local temp agency where they get on the company bus who takes them to the plant because non have drivers license or they are addicts. People with facial tats work there etc

I pretty much stopped cold eating fast food after seeing these workers.

That was a full sized, healthy adult frog.
Good for the customer, she took a video of the sealed container with the frog moving about inside.

Stuff happens when no pesticide is used.

These people need some life skills! We have people actually excited when they open a head of lettuce to find a frog ( in our conventionally grown lettuce;)). And fellow freeper is correct, not news.
