A biologist friend told me if you hear frogs croaking at night, its a sign of a healthy local ecosystem.
I hope they appreciate it.
I live in a subdivision north of Detroit in S.E. Michigan and I miss the sounds of frogs and such at night.
On the other hand, my niece lives way north of me and her back yard backs up to a woods with a pond way back inside of it.
Every spring her back patio and gutters are filled with tree frogs and the chirping and croaking is incessant..........I envy her.
And she has lots of lightning bugs as does my nephew where he loves.............I miss seeing them too.
