BIA Wildland Fire Management - Navajo Region

The Navajo Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) received a resource order for preposition to Charlotte, North Carolina. This is part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 4, Hurricane Dorian support. They will be in place tomorrow in anticipation of supporting local Emergency Management Services (EMS) with any damage that Hurricane Dorian may inflect. Since the decrease in wildland fire activity, and the hurricane season starting, Interagency wildland fire resources are often called upon to assist. We wish them a safe assignment.

Also Brian Trascher, the spokesperson for the Cajun Navy, was on Tucker.

They are getting ready to move out to go help in any way they can.

Feel it is their duty as so much help was given to them during and after Katrina.

Such a phony hurricane report by lightweight reporter @jonkarl of @ABCWorldNews . I suggested yesterday at FEMA that, along with Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, even Alabama could possibly come into play, which WAS true. They made a big deal about this...

....when in fact, under certain original scenarios, it was in fact correct that Alabama could have received some “hurt.” Always good to be prepared! But the Fake News is only interested in demeaning and belittling. Didn’t play my whole sentence or statement. Bad people!

Jenny....I’m sorry to hear you are feeling down. I hope your spirits will be lifted, soon. Please know how appreciated you and your wonderful posts, here, are for all of us.

I’ve been meaning to tell you....your houseplant love is contagious!!

I hadn’t had houseplants in YEARS! After I read your posts about the plants you found at Walmart, and various other places, I stopped in our local Walmart garden center and ‘rescued’ a palm and corn (?) plant, that were sad looking, and on the clearance shelf.

I took them home, doctored them up (treated for spider mites, cut off dead leaves, etc.) and repotted. They are thriving....and, so beautiful, in my living room!

My grandbabies get the biggest kick out of helping, on watering and spraying day, when they’re here.

So, I just want to thank you for the inspiration. No fancy plants, just the palm, corn plant, a ficus tree (that we bought earlier in the year) and now a new, little money tree. I also have an orchid that we received as a gift...that I’ve managed to keep alive...and have now seen it’s second bloom cycle. Trying to learn more about how to prune/care for, for that one.

You planted the seed for me to get back in to caring for houseplants, again.

Fox just broke away from the Dorian coverage, for a segment with Tx Lt Gov Dan Patrick....before Patrick came on, with Jon Scott, they showed a clip of an FBI guy saying that ‘this shooter wasn’t set off and upset about his firing, then went out and did this’....’no, he showed up to work in a very agitated state and was then fired....it wasn’t because he was fired’.

Very interesting that FIB guy was so adamant about this.
