New York (CNN Business)Burger King will start selling its meatless Whopper across the United States on August 8, the biggest rollout for Impossible's plant-based product. The burger chain has been selling the Impossible Whopper, featuring a meatless patty made by Impossible Foods, in a few markets in the United States since April. It first tested the product in St. Louis before announcing in May that it would offer the Impossible Whopper nationally this year. Interest in plant-based protein has surged as many people try to reduce their meat intake for health or environmental reasons. US retail sales of plant-based foods have grown 11% in the past year, according to a July report from trade group Plant Based Foods Association and the Good Food Institute, a nonprofit that supports plant-based businesses. The Impossible Whopper has been performing well, Chris Finazzo, Burger King's president for the Americas, told CNN Business.
"It's driven new guests into the restaurant," he said, noting that most of those customers either haven't been to a Burger King in a long time or haven't visited one at all. "We're really excited to be able to attract that customer."

I’m neither eager or willing to try it. 8>)
Soylent Green
I love the McRib(minus the pickles, add more onions).
But, some people(like my brother) hate them.
I agree with you about Hardee’s. Freddie’s is decent too. But their burgers always seem to taste a bit too salty at times.
Culver’s is good. Never had a bad burger there.
Never been to In-n-out or Jack in The Box.
I have to say that is not appealing...
Its a Morning Star Farms veggie patty. Mostly soy protein with dehydrated veggies, and processed grains. Its no healthier, but its not animal.
Ill try anything once. And I will try this plant burger.
I’ll try it, but if I notice my voice is rising in pitch, I’ll go back to meat.
Why the hell would one pay more for a veggie burger!!!
I don’t need to smell crap to know that it stinks.
i will do a side by side taste test and maybe do it live...
hehehe
Get back to me when they introduce virtual lettuce and tomatoes.
And broccoli.
Whatever you do, don’t try their $1.00 Taco!!!
I have a story from my early 20's, which may fall into the category of TMI. Anwyay, here goes:
I worked doing data input at United Airlines in the early 70's. When the World's Fair was in Spokane (I was working in the main offices of UAL in Mt. Prospect, IL.), a few of us decided to get some tickets and go to the World's Fair.
We were looking for something to eat for lunch on the first day there, and I saw a veggie burger place and decided to try it. Well, it did not stay in my system very long, and I spent a good portion of the afternoon looking for a bathroom.
I will give a pass on fake meat.
LOL!
Can’t have a whopper without meat....she said.
i heard soylent green is purple. IT”S PURPLE!
