Today’s Cryptogram

KY VYUHZ DHIP YQTYHSYZAY MWUM PYZ ZYXYH VYUHZ UZFMWSZE DHIP YQTYHSYZAY. ---EYIHEY CYHZUHN LWUK

Today's Cryptogram is the from The Arkansas Gazette

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle:

A NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN, BUT AN OLD BRUSH KNOWS THE CORNERS. ---IRISH PROVERB

< 2min.

Most common letter, the word with that most common letter twice in the pattern _ $ _ $ _, the first word, the long word with a lot of the most common letter, off to the races.

Got it, no coffee. Forgot timer, but finished before coffee stopped brewing. Maybe three minutes?

about less than 2 minutes. The big words were intimidating, then not. The ABCA was the opener as well as assuming what the first word would be.

Speak for yourself Mr Author.

As long as one is green, one continues to grow.

Once something gets ripe, all that is left is to get eaten or rot/die on the vine.

Thanks to gundog, I figured it out. That is a very funny quote! And so true! Yet how can it be? Yet it is! LOL!

Yes, I am sure you ‘figured out’ that it means one should ‘learn’ something new on a daily basis so as to keep from getting ‘old and stale’....<: <: <:

I am ‘old enough’ to be able to say that with (somewhat) impunity.

The quote is ironic, in that the ABCBD word has appeared in 3 of the last 5 CGs.
