The Pentagon can identify targets from afar using a laser to measure heartbeats Technology is being developed for U.S. Special Operations for surveillance Infrared lasers are able to penetrate clothing and skin to monitor blood flow Heartbeats are completely unique unlike faces or even thumbprints Prototypes currently have a range of about 200 meters or 219 yards

The machine would call the morgue then the funeral home!
Maybe ease into some road work?
And ease off the alfredo sauce?
That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.
The old Krauts knew about everything!
Arnold Swartz. Movie Eraser had a weapon that did something like this. It could pick up signals through solid objects as well as shoot through them. Good movie. 1996 with Vanessa Williams.
Still, a 200 meter range will be a easy shot for a rifleman once target is acquired.
I DID see it but I did some reading up and it’s considered one of the worst episodes so it was not shown very much at all.
What was this guy’s plan, to live in the engine room forever? :)
Not like he could go back to star fleet :)
Being dead is so BAD for a career :)
I remember it from the lawyer.
Well let’s just say for argument’s sake that I have indulged my eating desires for, say, 25 years.
I COULD turn things around now, but I DONT LIKE exercise nor do I like health foods.
If I can indulge for another 10 years even, then I will have enjoyed what I like and then I will either not exist or I will be judged based on my life.
And whether I get in shape or not i’m kinda screwed on that one!!
So might as well pour the alfredo sauce for me!!
So it only works if the actor is wearing a smart watch or a heart rate monitor?
Bouncing a laser off a window pane to record voices has been around for some time.
This is new and improved!
Bounce a laser off a body and record the heart rate, also the minute variations of the heartbeat.
the ol tin-foil wife beater undershirt.
Yes cooler in warm weather, but does it provide sufficient and safe coverage?
If I can indulge for another 10 years even, then I will have enjoyed what I like and then I will either not exist or I will be judged based on my life.
Not a binary problem.
A friend, not an ounce of fat on him but a heavy smoker and nonexerciser had an HA.
A long road back!
He said the worst part is the HEART ATTACK DIET!
I ask what the hell is that?
If it tastes good, YOU GOTTA SPIT IT OUT!!!
I LOVE alfredo sauce and the bread and the oil and the cheese... Then more time on the bike...to pay for my sins.
Yeah the NOT DYING from the heart attack/stroke/diabetes/whatever other horror is the scary part!!!!
Some talk big of how they will simply kill themselves if they got that sick. Well A. It’s VERY hard to kill yourself as we are hard wired to want to live and B. if it’s a stroke you might not be able to move!!
Maybe i’ll diet and exercise a little.
Simple walking is a good thing!
Even waving your hands at the TV is good.
Music conductors, the guy with the little stick.
Live seven years longer than the typical person from the same country they come from. Waving your arms every night makes the heart work and keep ticking.
LOL
WOW.
I’d been going good for about 6 weeks then the same old happens....
LAZY
And the age creeping up along with the weight...well...when the day comes that I am no longer on the board, it was nice posting with you!
“Even waving your hands at the TV is good.”
Perhaps. But I’m STILL not going to watch the Democrat Debate!
Trek predicting the future again.
There terrorists who’ve struck in America were known wolves so what is this new toy really for? It isn’t about ‘security’.
Special ops... What may be just as important as identifying people is identifying unknowns. Say your agent, contact, etc was a known good guy and he/she has a “signature” on file. A team on overwatch could discriminate the friendly from everyone else, and if things go bad...
Bernie should live to 100!
