A Minnesota cat miraculously survived after sneaking into a washing machine -- where it stayed for about an hour.
Stefani Carroll-Kirchoff, from Maplewood, a suburb of St. Paul, said she was doing her laundry on Wednesday when her one-year-old cat, Felix, jumped inside the washing machine while the door was open.
I must have turned my back for a few minutes folding clothes and he apparently went in there when I wasnt looking, Carroll-Kirchoff told Fox News.
Its horrific. Its absolutely horrific, she added.
Carroll-Kirchoff said she hasn't been able to sleep since the incident.
This will haunt me for the rest of my life, she said. Its the most traumatic experience.

He thought thought the washing machine was a box.

"This will haunt me for the rest of my life, she said." Consider yourself lucky that cat will be haunted for all 9 of his.

I saw on emergency several cats that jumped into a dryer and were discovered tumbling with the clothes. One was in the dryer for ~30 minutes and survived. Most of them were terminal when they arrived at the clinic.

I have a new kitten at home and I have to watch him like a hawk. Dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, pretty much anything with a door draws him.

I bet the cat couldn’t walk straight after the spin cycle. Had
to rewash the clothes to get the poop, puke, hair out of them.

We use those plastic anti static/softener balls in our dryer. Our dog thinks theyre the best toys ever and waits til my back is turned and gets up in the dryer to steal them. Of course shes about 60 lbs and highly visible. 😂

Unbeknownst to me, neighbor cat holed up on my trucks radiator shroud to stay warm one night many years ago. Went to start my truck in the morning, it hesitated, gave it some gas and a cloud of white fur came out. Cat got out and streaked away.
Minor cuts from a “probable dog attack” according to the owner.
