CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania woman says she realized there was a bird in her can of spinach when she noticed a yellow beak in a lump of greens.

"I immediately felt like I was going to vomit," Cherie Lyons, of Chambersburg, told the York Daily Record. "I was sick for the next whole day."

Lyons said she found the bird June 14 after pouring the spinach into a bowl.

Lyons told the Daily Record she felt mistreated after calling Del Monte. She was offered a $10 check and a request for the bird to be sent back.

Sauerkraut comes to mind. That’s about it for me.

Try Boar's Head sauerkraut. Packaged fresh in the dairy/cheese section of most grocers.

A finger in Wendy’s chili IIRC. I think it was proven to be an attempt at extorting money from the company.

I almost missed a good thread here.

Is that a starling? They have no table manners.

Canned spinach is spoiled spinach, in my opinion. Frozen is better, but not by a lot.

But, unless enough people liked it, they wouldn’t can and sell it.

I really like the Stouffer’s ‘Spinach Souffle’; it’s good by itself, and you can use it in recipes. But lately my local doesn’t seem to have it often. It used to be that it was only sold-out at times like Super Bowl Sunday, when people would make various finger foods out of the recipes printed on the box. Somewhere I’ve got one for little spinach-puff balls; but here’s one in pastry:

Last year my mom found a grasshopper in a can of Aldi brand spinach. Got a $5 gift card.

I am pretty sure I had a frog skin in the last bag of frozen spinach I bought two years ago. Think it was Pictsweet brand. Didn’t bother to contact them.

A few years ago I bought a bag of Lays that tasted really bad. Sent them an email and they sent several coupons.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but there is this newfangled device that heats things in bowls called a microwave oven.

It’s pretty new, they’ve only been around for the last 60 years or thereabout...

j/k, gotta give someone a hard time

In the scene where Davis kicks Crawford, Bette wasn’t holding back. They hated each other.

Sorry. Don't know. Made the gif from this short YouTube clip (below). And I haven't seen the movie in decades, so can't recall.

Great movie. A lot of fun seeing the two old broads go at each other.

Great movie. A lot of fun seeing the two old broads go at each other.

Yes, it always reminded me of another great old classic: Die Die My Darling, with Tallulah Bankhead and Stefanie Powers.

"Patricia Carroll arrives in the country to meet Mrs Trefoil, the mother of her fiancé, who recently died in the USA.

Out of politeness she agrees to stay the night.

Slowly Mrs Trefoil' s attitude towards her guest changes. She begins addressing her as a child, asking intimate questions, making impossible demands and when Patricia tries to leave she is imprisoned in the cellar.

There follows her enforced degradation and depersonalisation as she is cleansed in preparation for her ritual killing to join her fiancé for a marriage made in Heaven."
