I own the movie "The Ghost Breakers". I love the movie! Bob Hope is fantastic in it. I also saw him at Churchill Down one Derby. He was VERY short. He walked through the crowd quickly and I got a picture...but again..haven't a clue what box its in.

I met Hope at the (first) wedding of my cousin's daughter in 1987, along with Hope's wife Delores. He was already on the verge of blindness.

I got to attend the Rose Bowl in 1989 thanks to tickets he gave my cousin.

I talked to him on the phone in 1993 when I was in L.A. visiting the cousins. I took his message, and he admired my professionalism. Really good guy.

Actually, no. The Bob Hope I dealt with was friendly and businesslike.

On occasion, Bob's head writer would get one over on him. One day in the 1970s when he was at Bob's Toluca Lake mansion, Bob began grousing about a stock manipulation he had missed in 1935. The writer looked at the palatial surroundings and said, "Yeah, Bob, you could have been on Easy Street."
