Today’s Cryptogram

RNMJ KNM RFTOE LP PF

XFICOLXSKME, KNM PLICOM

QLAK FA ATLMJEPNLC LP RLKNLJ SOO FA FWT NSJEP. ---ISTLS PNTLUMT

Today’s CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette.

SPECIAL NOTE:Today’s CG is fairly easy, so to add to the interest and challenge, try to solve each line one at a time, before going to the next line.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

3 min. “KNM” twice and the first two two-letter words are key.

Another very fast one, under a minute. The repeated two letter word and it just filled in after that.

Once one gets “W” and “P” the rest should fall like dominoes.

Two minutes. I played with the first two two-letter words, and also found the second word, and then the rest fell into place.

Another 3 min. Place the E, add the common 3 letter that contains the E, that gives a strong suggestion of the first word. That give the key to the 13th word and the rest fills in quickly.

Under 2 minutes.
First two words seemed obvious as to how a sentence would start and opens the thirteenth word.
The fourteenth word is also an easy clue.

5:17.46

When I got the first two words (took much longer than it should have) the third was apparent, it is was more or less typing from there.

Easiest one so far. Did it in about half a minute. Makes it fun when there are hard ones and easy ones!

XFICOLXSKME led to ATLMJEPNLC. Plug and play from there.
