=================================================================
The Daphne Police Department is looking for the person who robbed a Waffle House at gunpoint.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday at 6781 Hwy 90.
Police say the suspect walked into the restaurant, and fired a shot into the ceiling.
The man is then accused of taking cash from the register, and car keys from a customer. He ran off after he wasn't able to take the car. Daphne Police tell Channel 3 the car was a push to start, and the suspect may not have known how to start it.
He wasn't found in a search of the surrounding area.
Daphne PD says video shows the man was dropped off at the Waffle House by an older model Chevrolet or GMC truck with distincitve markings. It is multi-colored, and does not have a rear bumper.
The suspect was described as:
Black male Slender Black clothing Red bandana covering face
Anyone with more information is asked to call the Daphne Police Department at (251) 620-0911.
Absolutely!................
Chunks of ham.

Oh, I’ve had that! Didn’t know it was called ‘chunked’...........
I want to know if that Waffle House had a permit for that rifle?
I was getting a rental car the other day and the guy two spots in front of me tried to pay with food stamps or a department store credit card or something. It was extremely complex and time consuming but somehow it finally got handled. Then he was told "you have to put your foot on the brake and push the button to start it". I watched him walk outside and could see him get into the car, then get out. Walk around it. In, out again. walk around. In, out. Comes back. "How does it start?"
The best part was the clerk. He had this look on his face that told a whole story. It said "Oh geez, you don't even know how to start a car. You have no business renting one. Whatever, it's not my car". Made me chuckle.
LOL!.....I see what you did there.................
I like Bert's chili.
True confession: When I go on a business trip, I try ahead of time to find a motel that's near a Waffle House.
I just bought a car with a push button start. I didn’t like it; now I do!
When I read that he didn’t take the car, my first thought was that it had a Manual transmission. That seems to deter a number of car thefts these days!
;-)
While it may be viewed as a ‘new’ thing, it’s actually an ‘old’ thing brought back!.............
Ya, Waffle House and Chuckie Cheese are 2 places I avoid....
Great description...I'll be looking for that bandana...
We had a Chuckie Cheese, but it closed years ago.
But we have several WH.................
Well, being ‘red’ means he’s a Crips, not a Bloods, then it would be ‘blue’..........
oops, got that backwards!..............
Does it really matter? Well, I guess it does if you are in a gang...
Maybe the “gun free zone” sign wasn’t big enough...?
Yes, it matters, depending on which ‘hood’ you’re in. Could get shot wearing the wrong color................
Maybe it was in cursive.................
