=================================================================
The Daphne Police Department is looking for the person who robbed a Waffle House at gunpoint.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday at 6781 Hwy 90.
Police say the suspect walked into the restaurant, and fired a shot into the ceiling.
The man is then accused of taking cash from the register, and car keys from a customer. He ran off after he wasn't able to take the car. Daphne Police tell Channel 3 the car was a push to start, and the suspect may not have known how to start it.
He wasn't found in a search of the surrounding area.
Daphne PD says video shows the man was dropped off at the Waffle House by an older model Chevrolet or GMC truck with distincitve markings. It is multi-colored, and does not have a rear bumper.
The suspect was described as:
Black male Slender Black clothing Red bandana covering face
Anyone with more information is asked to call the Daphne Police Department at (251) 620-0911.
“What’s Fonzie like, Yolanda?”
an evil rifle made another poor victim rob some place-
What is it about Waffle House restaurants?
are we sure it wasn’t Ralph Northam in blackface?
Open 24/7/365...................
The triple hash-browns for me.
I guess that makes timing a little easier when planning a robbery.
Covered AND Smothered!
Yeah, just avoid the rush hours..............
Exactly.
When I was ‘on the road’ a lot, would often frequent small towns & Waffle House or ‘Toddle House’.
One way to find out how many and who the local police were was to pull into a ‘house’ and by the time you got your order in a deputy or local cop would ‘drop by’.
I carry/carried no matter where so I was ALWAYS well mannered, drove slow.
Wearing a USN or Vietnam Vet hat or jacket didn’t hurt either...
Especially good was to be in a County or city/town that was named after a ship one was on.
Often ‘fetched’ a freebie but the waiter/waitress made out VERY well on such days...
Waffle House = No carry. This guy is in REAL trouble.
Maybe his hashbrowns weren’t covered, smothered and chunked the way he ordered them.
He would have gotten more money if he had pawned the rifle.
Can’t fix stupid.
Was probably stolen....................
I know ‘covered, smothered ‘, but what is ‘chunked’?.................
It’s the only place I know of that has a tub of hot grits ready 24/7/365.
And, they’re made right.
And Alabama inner-city pawn shops do things “by the book”.
Yessir.
