Todays Cryptogram
WPAE UXPUTX KP JPE TZAEXJ RZES ESX ZJEXJE EP LJKXBAECJK. WPAE UXPUTX TZAEXJ RZES ESX ZJEXJE EP BXUTQ. ---AEXUSXJ B. YPGXQ
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.---Walt Whitman
2 1/2 min. Solved for “e”. Recognized 2nd and 12th word pattern. Rest of puzzle fill in blanks. Author was Highly Effective Person.
About 3:10 to get the quote. Couldn’t get the author without looking it up. Never heard of him.
First time I did this here! fun!
I don't usually give up, but I gave up on that one. I got "and dark is a" at one point, but I just couldn't make anything of it and finally just thought, "Oh screw it, I'll play Solitaire."
The author was one of those frequenters to day time TV in the 90s early 2000. Positive message with keys to being successful and living a mentally healthy life. Motivational speaker. Don’t really know what happened to him. I have his book successful life etc.
His biggest thing was on communication that you need to understand someone before being understood.
REally? that’s great. Join our ping list...?
Wow, this one is deep. I like this one.
Very easy one today except for the author.
Never heard of him and had to look him up to get the last two letters correct that were missing from the name.
Just over 1 min on my phone.
I thought you’d like this one...
-PJ
I quit on that one yesterday, but took it up again this morning. Sometimes I need a reset. It didn’t help that I transcribed the last letter incorrectly( which put the E in doubt) but it went quickly.
I guessed at (AND-Unlike yesterday-) the EP 1st glance, was correct and it was a matter of easily selecting the next letter(s)
Had a ‘problem’ with the author last name - never heard of but I am not much for listening to motivational speeches.
Hmm that is what he ‘said’...
I think the second word, “ABCADB” sequence is a word everyone should be looking for. That gives you 4 letters right out of the gate, then it’s like drag racing.
2 minutes, worst part Author’s last Name.
