INDIO, Calif.-
SHHS staff are working in conjunction with county health officials to determine what staff, faculty, and students may have come in direct contact with the student diagnosed with active tuberculosis.
The student is currently undergoing treatment will not return to school until a medical clearance is issued. The student is expected to recover.
The health department is advising anyone who may have been exposed to the disease to be screened with a tuberculosis skin test. Skin tests will be administered during a clinic which will be held at the high school in August.

I always test positive for TB. I have to have an x-ray to prove I don’t have it
Add to this that the border patrol has released hundreds of people from the Congo and Nigeria where 1 in 4 have ebola...............just phucking great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay. I have one every year due to nature of being employed in the health care field.
where 1 in 4 have ebola?
So far this year about 2,000 cases.

Having lived in Asia for 30 years I test positive for TB and one of the types of Hepatitis. I was told it just means I was exposed to them at some point.
In my area they only need a current vaccination record. The only students that have to get a medical checkup of any kind are those playing sports.
Congo and Nigeria where 1 in 4 have ebola....
Not true. Hardly. If so the population would go down by 25% within a couple weeks.
That is what happens when illegals are with other illegals, either traveling here or after being detained. Some pass their medical screening and then come down with something they just picked up from the others.
As a veterinarian once explained about health certificates for horses, it only means they were healthy the day I pulled their blood or examined them. Does not mean something won’t show up in a few days.
So did my late wife. Exactly the same. But her death was unrelated.
That is state by state. Here in NM “health professionals” determine which students may be at risk and they are the only ones tested. Which means unless they know a student may have been exposed to it, they are not tested.
What amazes me is we are a border state, yet no medical requirements beyond vaccination is required for students unless they are playing sports. Students that show up from other countries whether legal or illegal are even allowed in school and given time to get their vaccinations up to date.
I grew up in Arizona and attended school in the 60s,70s...we had TB skin tests every year, we got extra vaccinations at times- for diptheria once I remember. Not sure what AZ is doing now but NM is very lax.
Ha, ha ha. Good one Ben!
As FREEPERS have pointed out raping and killing the law-abiding Americans that Americans just won’t do!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
I also test positive for TB——and I was exposed in 1937——amazing,to me.
.
I checked my area earlier,Massachusetts, and the TB test is left up to the decision of the PCP,and if the child doesn’t have a PCP they are referred to the local Board of Health to see if the tine test is necessary.
MANY other vaccinations are required.
.
It’s a Brave New World!
Livestock goes through a serious health screening before being allowed into the US. Besides reciprocity which means we treat anybody coming from Mexico illegally the was they would treat Americans illegally going into Mexico. plus those who choose to retired there get 2nd class citizenship can’t vote or own land in their name neither ever get mentioned by the democrats or the alphabetical media swill mills.
My dad had the same thing. Tested yearly because he was a teacher. Never had TB. Weird.
And crossing international borders.
