Today’s Cryptogram

CV VCR TLC PLHR DVQ NRRG KCNROKVO FKSXVQS DVQO TVCJRCS. ---RGRLCVO OVVJRURGS

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Today’s CG is dedicated to Andy Ruiz, Jr. If you haven’t seen it, watch the 3rd and 7th rounds of his heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle, (a real toughie!):

Made my leap of faith on the sixth word, NRRG, which meant that the three-letter word before it was DVQ, making the ninth word DVQO. That gave me the last name and first name. From there, it was a real cascade.

Five minutes. The first two words should give you the first name.

When the ‘double’ letter in last name falls in place, it goes down like a snake finally rooting out that last bit in the jammed pipe.

Didn’t find this til this morning, 3 min, truth within. The E didn’t come in until later in the process than usual started with a lucky guess on a 3 letter.
