This makes me ashamed to be a Texan and should send a chill up the spine of anyone who reads it......

While certainky not everyone may agree with her opinion, she has a right to her beliefs, and free speech, and certainly should not be fired for this.

Yet liberal teachers are constantly posting the most vile propaganda and hatred. Happens all the time.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Whatever the politics or situation, it's stupid and scary for anyone to lose their job over petitioning the Government to do something lawful. I don't know if as a teacher she had any civil service, union, or tenure protections but to outright fire a public school teacher in a matter of days doesn't even seem possible.

So the board is for illegal immigration.

I knew this would happen. I hope that teacher also knew, and had made preparations for being pushed out or ‘suspended’ for daring to say something unpopular. No second chances, no offering of counsel or retraining or reassignment, just booted out the nearest door.

I understand it’s extremely hard to remove teachers for poor classroom performance, but asking the president to do something about lawbreakers is beyond the pale?

Need the exact wording of the teacher's tweet before passing judgement / forming an opinion.
Did the teacher use, e.g., extreme profanity and obscenities? Did the teacher advocate, e.g., mob violence against suspected illegals? Some particulars would be helpful.
Regards,

The Fort Worth ISD is going to end up paying a hell of a large settlement to make her go away after she wins her appeal, or an even bigger check if she doesn’t win her appeal and it goes to court.
She asked an elected official to perform their duties. At the end of the day, that’s all that tweet did. School board did absolutely no good for their cause (or the taxpayer’s money they’ll be giving her) by clearly establishing that she was fired ONLY over this tweet.

It was NOT and anti immigration tweet. It was an anti illegal immigration tweet. Anti law breaker tweet.
Fake headlines.

So, she feel need to use an anonyomous twitter account. Fine. How did the school district out her as the writer? And, as others write, what business is it of theirs that she petitions the president, even if by Twitter? I hope the state reinstates her or that she then sues and bankrupts the district for violating her rights.
