The Fort Worth ISD school board voted to fire a teacher accused of posting a controversial tweet about illegal immigration.
FUFWISD
GD cowards.
That this could happen in Texas is the really scary part.
Ping.
I guess Fort Worth isn’t Foat Wuth anymore.
While certainky not everyone may agree with her opinion, she has a right to her beliefs, and free speech, and certainly should not be fired for this.
Maybe President Trump could get her a job. Make her the head of DOE to clean out all of the illegals in our schools......enough of this crap.
Yet liberal teachers are constantly posting the most vile propaganda and hatred. Happens all the time.
Sue, sue, sue.
That this could happen in Texas is the really scary part.
Exactly!!
We Texans best get on boards...school boards, that is.
Although, in my neck of the woods, the school board races sure seem rigged.
Yes, yes, yes!!
speaking of Texas it was Plyler v. Doe out of Tyler that gave us illegals mopping up a huge portion of our tax dollars to educate them.
This fateful ruling should have been where she cast her ire.
Whatever the politics or situation, it's stupid and scary for anyone to lose their job over petitioning the Government to do something lawful. I don't know if as a teacher she had any civil service, union, or tenure protections but to outright fire a public school teacher in a matter of days doesn't even seem possible.
Jacinto "Cinto" Ramos, Jr. Board President
Hmmm.....I think I see the problem.
So the board is for illegal immigration.
The Fort Worthless ISD board just created serious liability for the ISD and for themselves.
The teacher should sue in federal court for violation of her First Amendment rights. She should sue the ISD and the members of the board jointly and severally. The board is a government agency and cannot fire someone for exercising a constitutional right in a public forum outside of work. She will win and should immediately place liens on the homes of each of the board members that day. She should be able to force the sale of those homes to pay the amounts the board members and the school system owe her.
If a government entity fires you for expressing an opinion, isn’t that censorship?
Jacinto is the chair of the 2019-2020 Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE) as well as the next president of the Mexican American School Boards Association. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB.)
YHGTBFKM.
So we fire teachers who don’t like criminals now??? What part of ILLEGAL does that school district fail to understand?!?
