If a government entity fires you for expressing an opinion, isn’t that censorship?

It's a whole bunch of things. None of them any good. Schoolteachers enjoy some serious job protection, as do many government employees. Generally it is extremely difficult to fire someone at the federal level.

I can just about guarantee there are "educators" out there, many of them, who have done far, far worse than simply express an opinion and who held on to their job, or were reinstated with backpay, the whole nine yards. I'm too jaded to even bother to look it up. Too depressing.
