Matt Moore scored four goals and Virginia won its sixth NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse championship, beating defending champion Yale, 13-9, in the national title game Monday.
Michael Kraus added three goals and Alex Rode made 13 saves for the Cavaliers (17-3), who stifled Yale's high-powered attack to dethrone the Bulldogs in front of an announced 31,528 at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field

I played a fair amount of baseball, including a little in college. So, when my son started playing LaCrosse, and wanted to toss the ball around together, I thought - how hard can it be? It’s just like having a mitt, except it’s on a stick.
Thing is, it’s not the same. He flung the ball at me with a defenders stick (long, thus lots of leverage - as you know), and it bounced off my head. That thing (the LaCrosse ball) is hard.. I had a nice knot on my head.
Nobody cares where you’re from.

What I enjoyed was playing Crease Attack
Your big enough to bang with the defensemen so you don’t get ragged but you don’t have to run like the middies.
You also get to duck just in time so the ball hits the other guy.
AND
You get to score and grab some glory.
The chicks dig it.

I don’t know it wasn’t a refusal based on on politics. I do think they wanted to avoid leftist backlash, but they publically stated that they were appreciative of the invite, but respectively declined due to logistical barriers.
