Todays Cryptogram
TX CXB FKCT RCPBAKCV BARB RCPXCO BOJJY PXD RHXDB RCPXCO OJYO. WDTVO ONOLPXCO RCT ONOLPBAKCV EXL PXDLYOJE. ---AOCLP WRFOY
I love todays words of wisdom, and it also harbors some cool letter sequences eg ABCA twice? My my!
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:

"THAT" "ELSE" ?
4:30. Lots of Hal Form Fumbling.
Two minutes.
Figured out the fifth word which made the fourth word obvious, then other words revealed themselves. Then it’s a game of hopscotch through the quote.
I like this quote. It’s a rule I live by.
Agree on all points with the addition that in this cryptogram the long words are key.
Maybe a minute. Get the “E” and everything falls into place.
“Maim,” “dead,”fief,” “gong,””high,” “kink,” “roar,” “seas,” “test,” “tent,” “tart,”
2 min. Good advice to live by.
That was satisfying and quick! I don’t agree with the sentiment, though. People get reputations for a reason.
90 seconds, good one.started with common letter, then the big words were obvious.
Hmmm, as in the way the cable news covered the Duke Lacrosse Team?
Caught the fifth word and the rest fell like dominoes in about a minute and a half. Thanks for these.
Can’t say I’ve seen any of those words in a cryptograms on this page.
Yes, but in actual usage the relative frequency of “THAT” is far greater than all those words put together, with “ELSE” a respectable second. By some strange twist of fate, those two just happen to be correct matches for today’s puzzle.
Well, let’s put it this way. Should a jury convict several young men of rape because they had a bad reputation (largely created by hostile forces?) No, of course not. Should a young lady hesitate to get into a car with four young men of bad reputation for a late night lift home from a party? Yeah, I think she might want to think it over.
Ok you win.
Much better after yesterday's puzzle.
