This is such a sad story. Her Dad clearly deserves credit for keeping her on track.
Having dealt with being responsible for someone it takes a toll.her mother will not be able to get her back on track.

I tend to think it’s the same reason lottery-winners mostly crash and burn, and folks in public housing trash it.

People have been getting rich and staying wealthy off of Britany for many years. Including the father of her two boys. She’s probably just worn out. Especially now, with her pillar of security, her Dad becoming really ill.
His illness (Colon cancer, I think) has snapped her out of her performance routine. Dr. LeeMartell prescribes she stop any large scale performing for at least three years. Go make some throw-away
‘Girl Power” movie with Lindsay Lohan or something.
