Just watched a 2013 doc. Just wondering.
Who the f*** said it was a shoulder fired missile?
Even if it were, yes, the exhaust plume from a shoulder fired missile will look red at 8:30 on a July evening in New York.
If you're ever willing to share that information, I'd certainly be willing to consider it. Until then ...
:-)
Jet fuel is not so easy to light.
Check the test for the flashpoint of JetA-1.
Also, the center tank had very little fuel in it, lots of fuel vapor which is very highly explosive, a sneeze could set it off.
PS: I'm not a goofy fellow.
If some witnesses saw it and it appeared to be fired from the beach, then it had to be one. I’m saying you said that, just responding to another post about it.
So since the government trolls jump on these threads like flies on you know what, I got to congratulate you for a magnificent job of keeping it silent and misdirection. I hope the missile system is currently being used on the boomers. Everything I know has come from public sources. If it has not been scubbed yet (might be because I went looking for it), there is a full page article on the navys anti-cruise missle missle program in the 1980 time frame. It was in the Swiss armament magazine Armada which I used to read at a former employer. The missile contract had been won by Litton and given the 4 year cycle for armament development, would have been in development testing. The article gave an overview of how it would function. It would be sub launched, fly to about 10,000 feet, go into a circle search pattern looking for the strongest electrical signal, lock on and send a kinetic warhead through the cruise missiles brain box, not wanting it to explode it in case it was nuclear armed. It did its job well as it picked the 747 electrical panel next to the center fuel tank instead of the drone that was sent. The area where it went down is full of bits from armament testing so the spooks had to keep control of the investigation. I view this as a case of serendipity in some lower level FBI person found evidence of explosive material so the administration set it up for a bomb explanation but that fell apart after a few days and at the point, they couldnt admit they screwed up without effecting Clintons re-election campaign, hence one of the most effective cover ups I have witnessed.
That may actually be compelling evidence against the theory that the flight was brought down by a terrorist attack with a MANPAD weapon.
From the most detailed report I read, Flight 800 was not supposed to be flying that low on an eastbound flight out of JFK Airport to Europe. It would have been several thousand feet higher at that point on its normal path. However, it was ordered to level out or reduce its altitude on that particular night to make way for a northbound flight to Providence, Rhode Island that was running behind schedule.
Anyone planning to shoot down Flight 800 would not have known in advance about this alteration in the flight path, and therefore would not have been positioned so far east to shoot the plane down.
Or Clinton had it shot down and had his people put a rumor out around the swamp that it was a “friendly fire” incident.
Nothing new to see here folks.

TWA 800: What the CIA Did to Mike Wire, Witness 571
Recently the CIA released documents pertaining to the tragic destruction of TWA 800. During review of those documents, I have learned that the CIA had designated me as Witness #1 to the heartbreaking events of that day. For the FBI, I was only Witness #571. How the CIA came to decide upon me is at the heart of this miscarriage of justice. On July 17, 1996, I was working to get the new Beach Lane Bridge in Westhampton ready to open. The bridge crosses the narrow inland waterway and connects the mainland with a small strip of beach beyond.
As a millwright tradesman, I had been working all day in the mechanical room of the bridge. A little before 8:30 p.m. that night, I surfaced to get some air. I was talking to one of the many men working with me when I saw what looked like a cheap firework rising from beyond the houses along the beach. This wasnt out of the ordinary for a summer weekday so close to the 4th of July.
I watched as the sparkling white light zigzagged southeast away from shore at about a 40-degree angle. At its peak, it arched over and disappeared. Then I saw what appeared to be an explosion, it expanded into a large fireball, and then I watched the aircraft in flames descend from the fireball and fall to the sea, breaking up as it fell.
After a few seconds had passed, I heard the first of four explosions. The first was the loudest. I could feel a shock wave against my chest. It shook the bridge enough that the other workers came running up to see what was going on.

Chk back later...
Too bad there wasn’t part of the seat sample sent to the Lab and the other part stashed away.
cia video is pure BULL$#!T !!!

One even suggested that TWA 800 was shot down by a Ticonderoga class Aegis cruiser in a gunnery exercise gone wrong. Except the wannabe Tom Clancy described the previous generation Mk 42 5" gun, not the Mk 45 Aegis ships carry. The plane wasn't blown up by a bomb, shot down by terrorists or by accident, and had problems with its fuel tank all at the same time.
As I recall, no one has ever said more than one missile was fired. Like many military missiles at the time, 1990's man portable SAMs were more impressive in testing than in the field. To shoot down TWA 800, using a single 1990's man portable SAM at the edge of its range for the entire engagement would have a high risk of failure. Failure means the pilot screaming over commercial radio channels someone just fired a missile at him. The country would have gone nuts, Congress would have demanded action, and the country responsible would get it so bad the Iraqi military would take pity on them.
If it wasn't a Stinger or SA-7/Strela, then what type of missile? Bigger missiles means bigger launchers, usually active radar fire control, and harder to hide. Bigger missiles mean bigger warheads and more obvious damage, which is harder to cover up. A better missile means a higher chance of hitting TWA 800. It also means a higher chance of getting caught before or afterwards, and a lower chance of it getting covered up for politics.
From The Flight 800 Investigation: Eyewitness Statements:
Relevant data from the Eyewitness Group Factual Report:
- Based on the data, 183 witnesses said they saw a streak of light, 201 said they saw one or more explosions, 100 said they heard one or more explosions, and 339 said they saw a fireball.
- Of the 183 who observed a streak of light, 102 gave information about the origin of the streak. Six said the streak originated from the air, and 96 said that it originated from the surface. Of the 96 who said it originated from the surface, 40 said it originated from the sea and 10 said it originated from land.
- One hundred and twenty-eight witnesses reported an immediate end to the streak, 85 described it ending in an explosion, 32 said it ended in a fireball, and 11 said it ended in a flash.

Any cop will tell you that people seeing the same thing will report it differently. I still believe the NTSB on this and not a bunch of conspiracy theorists.
I don't think the plan was to shoot down Flight 800 in particular. More like just shoot down any US airliner that came available.
Why do people keep saying it was a Man Portable missile? If my information is correct, they could have gotten pretty much any SAM missile obtainable in Iranian military stores.
It doesn't matter to me what you believe.
You went from "none were reported" and "was no reports" of streaks to moving the goal posts now to attacking the credibility of eye witness reports.
This tells me that you have gaps in your knowledge of what was reported, yet you spoke with a certitude that is belied by the facts reported at the time.
This information wasn't compiled by "conspiracy theorists," it was compiled by CDR. William S. Donaldson, USN (ret.). I remember that he was all over this until he died suddenly of a brain tumor in 2001.
I want to accept your professional opinions, but your citation of the facts so far are too weak for me to accept as researched.

Shelley Kelly, Survived Brown Plane Crash - died hours later (Stewardess)
Crash site. 7:20 P.M.:
Four hours and 20 minutes after the crash, the first Croation Special
Forces search party arrives on the scene. They fund only stewardess Kelly
surviving. They call for a helicopter to evacuate her to the hospital.
When it arrives, Kelly is able to get on board without assistance from the
medics.
But Kelly never completes the short hop. She dies an route. According to
multiple reports given to journalist/editor Joe L. Jordan, an autopsy
later reveals a neat three-inch incision over her main femoral artery. It
also shows the incision came at least three hours after all her other cuts
and bruises.
This creates in your mind a horrifying scene in the back of the chopper, as
one Special Forces operative holds down the struggling woman while
another slice her leg.
Further autopsies of other passengers probably will not be made. Clinton
ordered the cremation of all victims - it’s hard to perform autopsies on
ashes.
Confusion or Cover-up?
Someone here in weapons development made a similar argument. He didn’t claim any special knowledge of TWA 800 per se, but he made a case for how it could have been shot down without a bunch of sailors telling their friends.
A sub launched missile he had been working on went dark and he never knew how it turned out. The missile was programmed to hunt for the center mass of its target.
His theory was that a missile like that was being tested out on the Sound and it acquired the airliner instead of its drone.
He said that Electric Boat keeps a sub available for tests and it can run with an extremely small crew. As in just the very few people involved in a dark program. Easy to keep the story contained.
Same here.
