When I was a kid the killing of police was rare. This was in the 60’s through the mid 80’s. What has happened to this country?
The Shoot out at the OK Coral was stuff for movies. Today in the cities, it happens just about every day.
Our Democrat ruled cities are no longer America. The urban trash are no longer Americans.
We've got generations of fatherless men brought up by welfare moms who never knew a father either.
Why no fathers? Because welfare enabled women to have kids without any need for an employed husband.
What's needed is to stop making it possible for women to have kids without being married to responsible, employed, mature men.
What happened? Dindus are off their leash.
I don’t know but as far as LEO’s go these days the MVPD is very Prompt and Courteous unlike some places.
As you can see from the chart in post 5, when you and I were children, especially in the 70s, on-duty deaths of police officers were generally higher than they are now.
These figures, from a police-advocacy organization, include deaths due to attacks while on duty (shooting and other causes); auto accidents; other accidents; and “duty-related illness,” which is not defined ... heart attacks due to job stress and sedentary habits? Flu caught from a coworker?
It is possible that the number of direct attacks, including shooting, could have increased, while the number of deaths has not increased, because of improvements in trauma care. On the other hand, these are absolute numbers holding relatively constant, while the number of police officers in the country has increased significantly.
In summary, I believe your perception of an increase in killings of police officers does not match the actual incidence. This is also the case with people’s perception of killings BY police officers.

Liberalism and piss poor parenting which allowed for the raising of 2 generations of children who were taught anything goes and accountability for their actions no longer exists.
This allowed for the government we now have (Except for Trump and very few others).
Liberals. Liberals happened. A decline in morals, independence, and responsibility. They have pulled us away from God with a lust for things, caused us discourse, and polluted our youth with communist indoctrination. Liberals did this. Just remember, you can vote your way into socialism/communism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.
My Uncle was a Carreer LEO starting right after WW II. He started out walking the Parking Meter Beat in Downtown Marrietta, OH and retired after working His way up to Chief. He never fired His Sidearm except at the Range for Qualifying. He was by the Book All the time. He backed into a car at the Grocery Store once and called for a Patrol Unit to come and write Him a Ticket. The Officer that got the call was a Rookie and freaked out about it. Uncle Pete told Him “it was My fault and either give Me a Ticket met or turn in Your Gun and Badge.”
No they were not that rare we killing around 150 per year during that time period.
It is just that we did not have the national media coverage of them that we do now.
More and more people love what is bad and behave exactly that way.
The Fraud encouraged this by sympathizing with cop-killers and supporting our domestic enemies. Plus: Racism, BLM, etc.

In a few words, psychotropic drugs happened. They are given to more and more people who are younger and younger, and the drugs were not safe to begin with. They do terrible things to the brain, but I'm thinking its planned to help the agenda of taking away our guns. Just sayin'.

Mostly too many illegal aliens and Blacks who think they ought to be cared for for their entire lives. At least in this case the killer offed himself, saving the citizens the costs and the attendant anguish of a trial, followed by years of costly appeals of the death sentence. I just wished that the deceased officer had had the opportunity to inflict the fatal wounds on the perp himself. That would have been at least “a little justice!”
Dad died in May of 2001, I can only imagine what his thoughts would be on the state of this country today..............As a side note, I turned him on to a local conservative talk show host named Mark Scott and Rush. Rush was always on dad's radio........
