Yes the biggest one was the Black Liberation Army ambush of Cleveland, Ohio PD in the summer of 1968. A lot of uniformed officers killed and wounded in a huge gunfight. It was minimally reported by the press and then never referred to again.

I regularly watch “Live PD” on A&E.

While I’m aware the show needs to focus on “action” rather than the routine and mundane, I’m still astonished at the utter lack of respect and hostility directed at LE, even while they’re bending over backwards in front of the cameras to be courteous to the suspects.

If it weren’t so troublesome, it would be amusing the number of times a suspect, surrounded by armed deputies and even K9’s behave as if they’re the ones in charge.

I know all cops aren’t perfect, but with what I’ve seen on that TV show alone I’m sure I wouldn’t last a week on the job without over-using my taser or worse.
