No, I looked carefully at a frame-by-frame blow-up of that section of the video. It’s nothing in the officer’s hand, it’s the balloon bursting and the gas used to expand the her own balloon doing it to her. I suspect those balloons were filled with tear gas or pepper spray. That’s why she was repeatedly bopping the officer’s mask with it. It may also have been a volatile substance that would adhere to his mask. She got it in her eyes.
Pretty sure he maced her.

You are right. From the moment you first see his hand start rising from his side there is a small stream coming from what he his holding, you can see it still spraying as his hand hit’s the apex, and he swipes the stream on her face as he swipes balloon from her hand. Good eye. Great technique by the officer.

I have no sympathy for this pathetic snowflake but I agree with your assessment.
A few years ago, I was having a conversation with a relative and was holding an envelope. I was gesturing nervously while talking because I was about to be late for an appointment and needed to leave. One corner of the envelope caught me in the eye and I ended up with an injury similar to yours.
Like you, I had to see my doctor and had to get eye drops and wear the patch for several days.
I have a high pain tolerance but you are correct about the pain. It REALLY hurts.

The scream was added by the person who edited it and is not in the original video. Watching at slow speed shows the cop didn't push it into her eye, just of the hood of her jacket. She turned around and acted like she needed first aid for the cameras.
Of course, opposing self righteous protesters in the slightest is far worse than murder </sarc>.
