In USSR special forces mainly used “tuned” army pistols and rifles. In late 1980s situation changed – special forces got “special” firearms.

2. PP-2000 – from Tula firearm making. Made for anti-terror force. Being called “First Russian pistol-machine gun”. Made from metal and plastic pieces so weight only 1500 gramm.

I'm into guns and shooting and that kinda stuff, so it's always interesting to read up a little bit every AM before going to do stuff, especially when it's informative about stuff one knows really very little about - Russian and ComBloc firearms in my own case.

I especially like the way these photos are captioned; obviously from a person (probably Russian) for whom English is a second language. It's always fun to enjoy English being spoken (or written) by Russians.

You'd have loved FReeper *Criminal No 19F* aka Hognose. Though a Yank, his expertise was in Czech weapons, and he ran the *Weaponsman* blog. He passed away a year ago Easter, and he is still missed.

The Russians can’t make a good looking gun to save their lives.

I was just about to say, those are some of the homliest guns I've ever seen. I'd be embarrassed to be seen with one in public.

Hey, can you keep posting more stuff like that? Like, maybe every day?

I'm into guns and shooting and that kinda stuff, so it's always interesting to read up a little bit every AM before going to do stuff, especially when it's informative about stuff one knows really very little about - Russian and ComBloc firearms in my own case.

I especially like the way these photos are captioned; obviously from a person (probably Russian) for whom English is a second language. It's always fun to enjoy English being spoken (or written) by Russians.

Seriously, it would be really cool if you could do like a daily edition of it. It could be about Russian and ComBloc weapons, or honestly it could be about just any interesting stuff from Russia and it would be cool.

That is a very nice thing to say. Thank you.

I'm all ready on troll black list. they don't like me posting things about China, they will probably go an lynch me if I started posting Russian content.

I have a blog about all sorts of things that you might find interesting. You might like it. Or not. Probably would think that I am crazy.

You can visit it HERE.

I will post more things on other blogs and sites as I discover them. In general, mainstream news is posted in under news. Unless it is an ACTIVISM post. Then it is posted under activism>News.Non-mainstream posts, that are not blogs are posted under personal/Chat. I try to post the entire content if possible.

All blogs are posted under blogs, and are exerpts. I have found that most blogs have better information and more of it, than anything that you would find on the internet. Which is why the mainstream press have hired professional trolls on FR to disparage anyone posting non-approved news. They come up with the nonsense saying "blog pimping". Nonsense. Just a paid troll talking.

Free Republic has an entire section wholly devoted to conservative blogs. It's called BLOGS. And it is NOT "blog pimping" to post there.
