New York City is the first city in the United States to eliminate processed meats.
Mayor Bill de Blasio approved an ambitious $14 billion Green New Deal on Monday, April 22, to combat climate change. The plan will cut purchases of red meat by 50 percent in its city-controlled facilities such as hospitals, schools, and correctional facilities. The new commitment builds off of the Meatless Mondays campaign that was adopted by all NYC schools in 2017.
"If we don't act soon on climate change, our children will pay for our mistakes. And if Washington doesn't hold Big Oil accountable, New York City will."

It would probably help by renaming hot dogs cool dogs. A cool dog the diameter of a pencil might do the trick and save us from doom.
“”What about street vendors?”
Has been a tradition to spend all morning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and have a couple of street vendor hot dogs on the steps for lunch.
Damn kill-joy leftists. Won’t be happy until they suck all the little joys out of life. “
You might try reading the article——it DOES help.
.
No hot dogs in Yankee Stadium and Citi Field...
Bwahahahahahaha...Ha
This guy is an All World All Time imbecile.
They will go veggie, etc. Got to have them dogs.
I think it is not satire. I did a search and found too many stories related to this. Apparently the elected loons in NY have been pushing thing for some time.
Let’s be realistic. Until there is physical action against these demented fascists, this will continue and get worse. I think that some of these people may need to get strung up before they will back off on this stuff.
That said, it appears that the sheep in NY will continue to accept as much of this sick abuse as can be heaped upon them.
More clear proof this country needs to be divided up. There no longer is a common culture to bind us.
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio will soon propose limiting meat to soylent green.
Ban Democrat politicians. It’s time.
Big Oil should cease doing business in the Big Apple.
New Yorkers voted for this. Enjoy.
Bill DeBlasio is full of baloney!!
Well, hes certainly full of something.
De-Blah-sio is sending us (in Florida) so many rich people from New-Yahk...and they bring lot of money with them.
That SOB should have this tattooed on his chest...
The food served in NYC school cafeterias used to be cooked right there in the school cafeteria. Then they switched to breaded frozen garbage that just had to be nuked. It is awful stuff, just carbs smeared with something for flavor. No wonder lots of kids buy their lunches at the vending machine. They stuff themselves with chips and cookies and similar junk. Of course, their "mothers" could always send them to school with a packed lunch, but you just don't see that any more. "Ain't nobody got time for dat!" apparently.
That is exactly the program: control food and healthcare and you bring most of the peasants to their knees in supplication. 😡
“Dear Mayor DeBlahsio....
Hot diggity, dog ziggity, oh, what you do to me
It’s so cruel to me, it’s so pee-yew to me
Hot diggity, dog ziggity, all you want is to screw NYC
Ever since you came into our life !
I dislike you with relish, you wienie....(signed) Da Brooklyn Buns !”
Lol,very clever.
Nathan's has already implements a partial solution of this type. They've reduced the size of the hot dogs (and the weight in the package to 12 oz) and still charge the same or greater than they did when you got a pound in the package. I find this stealth price increase especially disgusting.
Well, we’re kinda limited to the excerpts these days...
Unlike the wusses of today who barf at things that disturb them, the gommbahs of old would simply do what had to be done, and presto a new mayor would appear - no messy barfing needed.
I attended PS 45, kindergarten through 2nd grade, and never ate in the cafeteria, we ate at our desks. And I only ever ate a packed lunch.
I read what was posted and the link sucked.
But thank you for policing the replies....
