Pete Buttigieg isn’t the only LGBTQ+ presidential candidate.
Meet Pamela Rocker, a 35-year-old trans woman from Cheviot, Ohio, who announced her campaign earlier this year. A Democrat, she filed her statement of candidacy with the Federal Elections Commission earlier this year.
Rocker — who would be a whole lot of firsts if elected president in 2020, including the first female president, the first trans president, and the first Black woman to be president — told The Cincinnati Enquirer that she was inspired to run by Donald Trump’s win, which she calls “a nightmare,” as well as by Hillary Clinton’s defeat.
"I just didn't want to sit on the sidelines," she said. "I was unhappy with the outcome of the 2016 election. Hillary, she inspired me. She lit something inside me. She opened the door for women and trans women of color to run."
In a campaign video posted on YouTube, she adds that she wants to “create awareness and visibility for LGBT people and for the rights of trans people of color.”
“Even the white man should be tired of the white man running and ruining this country,” she says in the clip. “Since its very existence, our founding fathers really saw the brightest and the best for our country, and that’s equality for all.”
Her platform includes lifting the federal ban on marijuana, using the funds from that to give every household in the United States access to a free car, and issuing monetary reparations for slavery — something that fellow Democratic hopefuls Julián Castro and Marianne Williamson have also voiced their support for.

Born in public housing, Pamela D. Rocker is a Transgender American from Cincinnati, Ohio. Her parents gave up custody to the state of Ohio, and at the age of 7 she was raised in the foster care system. She lived in 10 different foster homes and attended 11 different schools in the Cincinnati area until she was emancipated at the age of 18.
Pamela graduated from Robert A. Taft High School in 2001 and she worked different odd jobs until she landed a job at Lerner, Sampson, & Rothfuss law firm, where she was promoted numerous times. She relocated to Los Angeles, California, and enrolled at the United States Department of Labor at JobCorps and obtained a degree in Office Administration.
While living in California, she landed a movie soundtrack deal as a recording artist with a rap song titled "Eat Sushi" on a series turned movie spin-off of "Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom" about the LGBTQ lifestyle of African Americans. Through her short but successful music career, Pamela Rocker toured and visited 44 states. She has proven that despite being transgender, her hard work has helped her beat the odds in any situation. Today, Pamela Rocker is a wife to Victor Rocker, who took her last name in 2015. Together, they vow to become America's First Couple in 2020.

I fully support this person’s entering the Democrat primaries. I will assume that the totally without prejudice leaders of the party will include her in all debates and refrain from operations which disadvantage her campaign.
