Today’s Cryptogram

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

I was able to get yesterday’s puzzle, but it took me forever. I’m finding that now that I’m doing a cryp every day, Sudoko seems boring in comparison.

When that happens to me , I drop it then come back to it. Invariably I’ll see something.

Just so you know, I’m careful to put a little hook in every CG I post. Find the hook, (eg a suffix, ABCA sequence, etc.), and you’re off.

3 min. A common word is repeated twice. That gives the letters to solve a hard word, which breaks the logjam.

I was bemoaning the fact that I drew a COMPLETE blank - despite many restarts - the past couple of days,

took a look and almost immediately the Thank Us fell in place and I couldn't keep up while roaring through it like a downhill runaway freight train.

Okay, that was quick and easy (because of the 1 and 2 letter words). I needed an easy one to restore my confidence after that last one! LOL!
