Full Title: Neighbor broke into family's new home and took off his pants inside a 12-year-old girl's bedroom and GROWLED when confronted by her father who shot him six times
(Excerpt) Read more at dailymail.co.uk ...
From the article, apparently Dad was struggling hand-to-hand with the perp, and wifey managed to get the gun to Dad, who then likely was not getting clean shots. It could have turned out much worse for the family. OTOH, the perp is lucky Dad didn’t reload and finish the job.
LOL
Not all cocks are chicken.
Dad obviously needs more range time and a larger caliber firearm. But he did take the necessary action to defend his family. Too bad the perp lived.
Probably .25 Auto...
Apparently, he didn’t need anything heavier. He stopped the attack.
Six times? Dad needs more range time. Get the whole family down to the range because that sicko neighbor will be back.
“Neighbor broke into family’s new home and took off his pants inside a 12-year-old girl’s bedroom”
New home or new trailer?
meth addicts do not get a free pass for their crimesCertainly not. I don't think there's any way to interpret my comment as saying that.
But on the positive side, maybe drying out in prison will help him turn his life around.I hope so. Unfortunately, meth does some bad things to the brain that don't seem to go away after kicking the addiction. I know several people who were heavy users (one of them only got clean by going to jail for 6 months), and they show symptoms of schizophrenia. Not as bad as when they were using, but bad enough.
'We're still tussling. I'm punching, punching, punching him. It's like it's being effective, but at the time we're fighting, I'm screaming "Get something! Grab something! Get something! Grab something!" and next thing I know he got shot.'Something isn't quite right in the dad's description of events. It sounds like maybe he is covering for his wife or daughter. Like maybe he was grappling with the perp and the wife/daughter grabbed a gun and shot him?
bttt
I wonder what type of firearm is was? A pistol? Or a rifle? Only six rounds? Sounds like a bolt action rifle. If it was a Ruger Mark III or better, or a Remington/Marlin semi auto...he could have gotten off a lot more than six rounds in a short time. I can fire my Remington 66 or Marlin so fast they might as well be full auto.
Too bad he didn’t make it seven shots and put at least one in a lethal location.
I wish you’d had one, too.
The shrieking would have been awesome.
I wish I had a video of the trial.
I was quite vivid in my description because it was a thing to behold, honestly.
The judge asked if I recognized the perp and I said “Well, let me see...his face was not the most notable thing about him.”
[courtroom giggles]
Then, his poor stupid wife stood and said he’d been in bed with her all night.
I said “Lady, I don’t know who you were in bed with, but it wasn’t him.”
Courtroom cracks up.
An hour or so of that.
Judge’s shoulders were shaking with suppressed laughter.
It was some kind of fun.
I still remember the perp’s name.
His lawyer thought he was Atticus Finch or something.
Puffed himself up for the coup de gras and sneered “You expect the court to believe that THAT big dog could actually curl up in the tiny bottom of a phone booth??”
/tells dog to down, dog curls up quite compactly
He thought he had me, there.
I’d written down his tag number and picked him out of lineup books 4 times, already.
Sheesh.
My dad had a big Buff rooster who kicked everyone’s ass but mine.
The only reason he let me be was because the dog was always watching him, waiting for him to take a step towards me.
Chickens are not stupid.
That would make a hilarious “Law and Order:SVU” episode.

only six times?
this is why you need high capacity magazines!!!
Is that what they call “downward dog”?
