You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.
For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.
Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"
Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

So bad yesterday I was ‘afraid’ to check answer today so I wouldn’t get mixed up with todays....(or something like that)
My staff here in Georgia, ages 24 to 50 with one person my age in their 60s. Only the 60 y/o remembers things like:

I pretty much read the first 5 words while transcribing the puzzle. If you left the letters the same for a week, I think you’d have me reading with a different alphabet.

In the early 50s I had to go to the Fire House to watch my Brooklyn Dodgers....not open to public but I was the show for the ‘visiting fireman’ as I basically knew every detail about every Dodger....
Didn’t realize I was being made a fool of - especially when one of the locals would say ...Harry-You ain’t seen nothing like this kid before, then they would ‘grill me’ before I could join in....
Then again I learned a good lesson about ‘paying’ for entertainment....
Oh, with the June Cleaver comment, that was just after you would hear a ‘fred Astaire’ loudly proclaiming he had a ‘Gay Time’ Last night....
When Gay meant frivolity and beaver was an animal that built a dam (better mention beaver when using that word) in the creek....

2 minutes. Started with the little words at the beginning.
About 5 minutes. Had a lucky guess on the first word. The first name had me going for a minute. I always forget certain letter combinations exist.
Bishop Sheen was great. I happened to watch an episode on youtube a few years back, and it was totally relevant.
These people are turning in their graves on how things have changed.
We have a country where the opposing party does NOT believe in borders, or our history.
They want to undo what has been in affect for over 200 years.
I’m not talking about the complete moral decay, and abortion etc.
We’ve had crappy leadership in this country since Reagan left, and in that time China and others, have taken over.
Trump, may... I SAY MAY, turn this around, but he can’t even get support from his own party.
WE MUST TAKE BACK THE CONGRESS IN 2020 BY WIDE MARGINS.
