Samuel Scott, of St. Louis, was charged with murder in the beating death of his wife. He attacked her the day he was bailed out of jail on a domestic violence charge by a nonprofit group, authorities say.
Within hours of his release, prosecutors say, he assaulted his wife again — this time, killing her.

We have a man and a woman, married in our neighborhood who have two young girls.
The police have been called out multiple times for domestic violence. I understand that at least in one case he threatened to kill her and both the children. He was taken in and his guns confiscated, she went down and dropped all charges and got him out. The police have been out since then for the same issues.
Basically it’s hard to feel sorry for anyone except the children who are the ultimate victims, and potentially the ultimate fatal victims.
I’m concerned that we’re going to see the flashing blue lights out there one day and find that the mother and both children are dead.
I only met the man one time in person and my impression is that he has a very serious chip on his shoulders and is always ready to go postal. I have no intention of engaging the man.
Sad, for the kids, no sympathy for mom whose job is to protect her children.
So you are saying the woman deserved to die? Without knowing much about her, her mental state, her personal situation...she deserves to die?
If you don't like women or have been rejected by women in the past I'm sorry to hear that. But that is no reason to suggest that victims of a violent crime, in this case a woman who was murdered, somehow deserved it because of the actions of other women?

The only thing your comparison of the two situations has in common is that both people are dead. The selfie person engaged in obviously reckless bahavior and sadly paid a price for it.
The wife was married to a violent bum involved in drugs and tragically when she called the police on him and had him arrested(or told the responding officers what happened) he returned home likely sooner than she expected and she was murdered. She didn't clear out soon enough from a violent relationship. I'm not about to call her names because of that, but feel free to express your disgust for the victim.
I don't believe including God in this narrative is appropriate in any way. I don't believe he wanted her murdered.
If you are still not understanding it, perhaps looking up the actual meaning of the word “deserve” (not the connotation-laden one that people love to use inappropriately) will help clear up any remaining confusion.
