The organization that put him on the streets takes NO responsibility!

Mike Milton, site manager of the St. Louis Bail Project, said, “This is a heartbreaking tragedy for this family and their community, and our thoughts and prayers are with them. Nobody wants to see something like this happen, but it is crucial to remember that bail didn’t cause this tragedy —"

No, bail didn't cause this tragedy, but it would have prevented it.

I doubt their “prayers” are with anybody. Animals like this don’t believe in God.

They need to lawyer up. The left’s war on women continues.

If O.J. could be found civilly liable and have the bulk of his wealth taken from him, surely the St. Louis Bail Project can be found liable too.

Sure someone got killed but all that matters is that the liberals had good intentions.

Sunspots. Yeah sunspots killed her. Nothing to do with bail or the St. Louis Bail Project. It was sunspots.

As far as I know, Mr. Scott was not a star baseball pitcher or NFL great, so why did the St. Louis Bail Project have him released.

I see little difference between this group and judges who routinely let criminals off scot free.

More from the article:

Scott had been sentenced to probation on a drug charge in 2003. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for assault in 1998, and 236 for drug possession in 1997.

Gee, how did they not see this coming?

Scott was arrested on April 4 on suspicion of domestic assault, police say. The arrest stemmed from Jan. 6, when police say Scott hit Johnson in the face. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office charged him with misdemeanor assault April 5, and Judge Calea Stovall-Reid set his bail at $5,000.

...

I agree with them. He was only charged with a misdemeanor and bail was set low. It was up to the court to keep him locked up if he was thought to be a danger.

“it is crucial to remember that bail didn’t cause this tragedy”

Why is that the crucial part?

Delusional, evil leftists.

Blame the Judge. 5k bail? What’s it cost up front 10% to bail out?

500 cash put him back on the street.

California has done away with bail as unfair to the poor. Many liberal states are heading that way. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/08/29/california-abolish-cash-bail-reformers-unhappy-219618
