Yeah, she comes off as thinking that somehow her celebrity and money counts for something. She is about to find out that neither means $hit with the prosecutors. The other celebrity, Felicity Huffman, decided on the “contrite” road with the prosecutors, and I imagine that she’s going to come out with little or no jail time. But Loughlin and her husband have managed to $hit can any hope of that sort of punishment.

She and her husband are headed for disaster. Her feelings that she was not breaking laws do not provide a valid defense.

All our lives we have been told, “ignorance of the law is no excuse”.
These folks need to go to prison.
Laws ARE for everyone, except the Clintons of course.

Why are we only hearing about those who “gave” the bribes and not those those who “took” the bribe? Have they suffered enough already? $500,000!!! what a nice cottage industry the university teachers/administration had going for it....one wonders what other perks were demanded.... Harvey Weinstein and Bill Clinton.... come to mind.

No bad intentions? They clearly intended to defraud the university AND the students legitimately applying to get in. Money can’t buy you brains.

claim they were under the impression they might be breaking rules, but not lawsNot a bad secondary legal strategy, after giving prosecutors the finger didn't work out too well.
