She and her husband are headed for disaster. Her feelings that she was not breaking laws do not provide a valid defense.

Better be a diminished capacity defense formation because I was ignorant of the law is no excuse. BTW does someone launder money and do tax evasion to conduct a legitimate transaction? NO!

Yeah, and some ambitious assistant US attorneys are out for blood and a high-profile conviction. Reportedly, Loughlin and her husband were offered plea deals that involved some minor jail time when they were first charge. Mr. and Mrs. Hollywood balked, telling the feds they would not go to jail as part of any deal. Fine, said the feds, who added another charge that would make Aunt Becky’s stay in the Big House even longer. At that point, Loughlin and her hubby told the feds “let’s talk a deal.” The prosecutors told them the plea bargain was no longer on the table.

I don’t know if it’s hubris, bad legal advice, or both, but the Full House star and her husband are providing a textbook illustration of how NOT to handle legal troubles with the feds. They might see if Felicity Huffman’s lawyer is willing to take on more clients. Ms. Huffman is getting sound advice; she has already accepted a deal for lesser charges and may spend only a few weeks in jail. Loughlin and her husband are reportedly looking at years in prison.
