Full title: Mom says she and 'giggling' son with special needs were asked to leave movie theater for 'disruptive behavior'
(Excerpt) Read more at yahoo.com ...
We were in a fast food place in Las Vegas where an autistic kid was absolutely screaming non-stop for at least 30 minutes. The parents were obviously aware of it but did nothing.
There is a balance point somewhere where his right to scream uncontrollably infringes on others rights to not have to hear this. The parents should have recognized this and done something other than staring at their food.
“Rent a movie for the kid and watch it at home.”
Correct.
ANYONE who disrupts the theater audience and experience should be shown the door.
HBO, Netflix, Redbox etc etc...
Some people have no tolerance for human frailties.

Are those folks with human frailties entitled to disrupt your life?
Indeed. It takes a lot for someone to get out of their seat and go to management to complain. I agree - probably a bit more than 20 seconds of giggling
Plus, no theater-patron, siting in the dark, will have any ideas that your child is special-needs. I had several kids behind me in a theater recently talking about how high they were, and every special effect made them screech. It was simply annoying.
Its a subtle form of propoganda. America is full of haters - racial, sexual, special needs, you name it. Only the compassionate and enlightened, as deemed by Yahoo and others, are not haters. Don’t be a hater - agree with us!!
I can ignore them and still enjoy a movie or dinner.
I can “rent” all the movies I want with my TV service and with my Fire Stick....might have to wait a short while for some new releases but this movie wasn’t really meant for children.
If it was a movie intended for actual young audiences, then I agree that letting kids be kids is fine...else, if they are disruptive they may be considered the same as those who use phones during a showing...which will get them removed if someone complains, and rightly so....folks pay good money to enjoy a movie w/o distractions.
Wow that brings back memories. I saw such things in the 80s but now that I think about it I haven’t seen any such thing in decades, especially in ‘new’ theaters. I guess now that suggesting “nursing” mothers seek privacy is somehow a violation of her rights, they stopped including them in the design.
And pay per view on cable and Amazon.
Is this a movie intended for children? If so, then if you want to watch it in peace and quiet, watch it at home.
My children were well-behaved at movie theaters. But I never complained about the other children there.
this mom is an attention whore! why is every little thing now a subject for the entire world to know?
Please be quiet at the movies.
Lots of churches were built with “cry rooms” just like you describe. Our parish has one.
You know what, I don’t care if that kid giggled the whole way through the movie, its a CHILDS MOVIE! For crying out loud, if you have been to any movie targeted with kids noise comes with the territory.
Frankly, if you complained about some disabled kid laughing during a movie, I’d personally happily take the assault charge for punching you right in your self centered face.
She had better gotten a full refund, and I would still take the theater to court.
Example a of why EVERYONE thinks THEIR kids are special.
Here’s a hint. THEY ARE NOT.
Their Behavior IS the responsibility of the Adult in their presence. If they act like little shits, they should be REMOVED from the event/activity. Unfortunately many that have reproduced such spawn haven’t the IQ to understand such norms. Oh no, it’s all about Society having to bow at the alter of My darlin is Special...
It is NOT up to the rest of Society to put up with either their or their Parents Helicopter/Spectacular Child Complex.
Please try your tough guy routine one time to many and end up with a .45 hole in your forehead.
You act like those people Ive seen videos of wilding in Fast Food places rioting because some H.S. kid mixed up an order.
Actually, the so-called snowflakes are the ones who take your attitude.
In the history of human injustice and suffering, a giggling child who does not know better than to irritate selfish adults does not even rate on any legitimate scale.
Being enslaved or crucified qualifies. Feeling one’s movie ticket price was compromised does not.
Bingo! Can’t keep quiet! Ship the “special needs” twerp outside. Maybe he’ll learn to keep quiet in a theater!
amazon, hulu, vue, netflix, on demand, youtube red, etc. etc. etc.
I took my 3-year-old granddaughter to see “Alien.” She screamed and shook the entire movie. Kids. Sometimes I just don’t understand them.
