AUGUSTA, Ga. Here he comes.
Brace yourself, Augusta.
Brace yourself, golf world.
Tiger Woods, 14 years removed from his last Masters victory, is in prime position entering the weekend to seize his fifth green jacket.
Woods, who last won the Masters in 2005, stormed up the Augusta National manually operated leaderboards with a 4-under 68 in Fridays second round and stood at 6-under for the tournament. That was one shot out of the lead shared by Jason Day, Francesco Molinari, Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott and Louis Oosthuizen.
Woods in contention at the Masters again. Just the way it always used to be when he was winning in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.

Not wearing the red golf shirt anymore?
Sunday.
He looks strong and healthy. Hopefully his delayed adolescence is behind him. Go, Tiger!
The night is still young.
I have never been a big TW fan but after his affairs became public, I was thoroughly disgusted. He is like BHO- he’s half AA, half Thai but the media treats him like he is 100% AA. In fact, the media slobbers all over him. Absurd.
I think he is a massive phony and don’t like him.
Ditto. don’t tell anyone....
Thirty-Six holes to go. It is a very crowded leaderboard and anyone at even or better has a chance, IMO. Players can easily make up five shots over the back nine on a given day. Whether Tiger has the fortitude for four rounds of outstanding golf is debatable - he has not done that yet this year. And the weather may be an issue on Sunday - rain predicted. Personally, Im rooting for Mickelson or Fowler or McIlroy, who unfortunately struggled today but he did make the cut.
The sports writers obnoxious love affair for tiger will be nauseating if he wins this.
He has trouble with putts between 5 and 10 feet — bodes poorly for the weekend. And there are a lot of young guns between him and another green jacket.
He is great golfer sure, but he is just not a likable guy.
Red shirt and black pants are saved for Sunday.
It definitely is. Today Tiger was asked in several interviews about the security guard who foolishly ran out and slid on the very wet grass ( looked like a slide tackle in soccer) clipping Tiger on his heel from the rear. Tiger is in such great shape that he didnt go down, thankfully. Tiger graciously just said accidents happen. Well just move on. I hope that the security guard is physically ok but also removed completely or to a desk job.
If he wins it will be all-Tiger all the time all the way to the US Open.
Have you seen “Golf Boys” video???

This is hilarious...
How about you go out there and try to drive and putt, in Augusta before you show your ass over his AA half thai!
The Phony is you, sadly!
And those young guns don't fear him - to them he is just another player. Maybe Molinari pulls it off - he came out of nowhere to win The Open (British) and does not seem intimidated by Augusta. And Koepka is going for his third major in four outings.
