He has trouble with putts between 5 and 10 feet — bodes poorly for the weekend. And there are a lot of young guns between him and another green jacket.

The irony is, Tiger was probably the inspiration for most of those younger competitors to get into golfing

And those young guns don't fear him - to them he is just another player. Maybe Molinari pulls it off - he came out of nowhere to win The Open (British) and does not seem intimidated by Augusta. And Koepka is going for his third major in four outings.

Agree, his short putting has been awful. He says he’s hitting his lines and isn’t concerned. I think he’s playing it off, and he really has the yips. Plus he’s not taking advantage of the par 5s. All that and with the weather moving makes me think he’ll fade. Nicklaus remains the GOAT — talent and class.
