Savor the moment when Star Wars 9 rolls around this December—it may be the last new Star Wars movie for a little while. All involved at Lucasfilm and Disney have been touting the upcoming film as “the end of the Skywalker saga,” and with that comes something of a “reset” according to Disney CEO Bob Iger.
Speaking with Bloomberg (via The Playlist), Iger revealed that after Star Wars: Episode IX, the movies will be taking a bit of a break:
“We have not announced any specific plans for movies thereafter. There are movies in development, but we have not announced them. We will take a pause, some time, and reset because the Skywalker saga comes to an end with this ninth movie. There will be other Stars Wars movies, but there will be a bit of a hiatus.”

Savor it?! No, I dont think so. I have had it with comic book movie adventures, where the film makers also insert SJW messages. I dont care if another is ever made; Lucas and Disney have killed Star Wars.
Why? Can’t come up with a more sucky story line? Hey here an idea. Do a story about a kid that has the force that goes to the dark side vs. another one that does not! Gosh it worked well on all the films so far. Oh and then a few pre-sequels like Ewoks-The musical, I mean SW The Last Jedi was genius...except I liked it better when Clint Eastwood was in the original called Grand Torino. . Lucas saw Disney coming a mile away! Suckers!
Don’t bother even with IX. Many of us stopped watching when you turned a good sci-fi serial into a liberal soapbox.
The biggest thing I learned in the new movies is that the rebels truly stink at leadership. They had the Empire completely destroyed at the end of Return of the Jedi, but by the time the new movies started their new republic had been overthrown, again, and they were the rebels again. Why and I being encouraged to cheer for these people?

That and they need to get rid of Kathleen Kennedy before they make any more... BUT can’t just fire her, because she’s made such a mess of it, no one else wants the gig.
Don’t forget The Dam Busters’ influence on the Death Star trench scene.
I always thought 633 Squadron was somewhat inspired by The Dam Busters as well.
I suspect they want to do more with Rey (the young woman who is Luke’s newest Jedi trainee), but Daisy Ridley doesn’t want to do it.
Telling people who don’t like your movie that they are sexist pigs is not a winning strategy. Hiring a moron to direct a movie is worse. Having important characters with no back story is cluelessness. But having you protagonist go from neophyte to Master as if it was natural born talent is really kicked-jn-the-head.
The series was doomed from the introduction of midichlorians. It just took a while to wind down.
