I’m no fan of John McCain. But torture will get a man to talk. We were taught that in the military. We were taught to attempt to give some indication that things weren’t normal. Batted eyes, odd speech pattern, mistaken fact.
So, I’ll not hold McCain nearly at the level of esteem reserved for the Jeremiah Dentons of our history. He was just a normal pow probably responding to torture.

Keating sold 13% debentures as FDIC insured instruments, that ruined hundreds of peoples retirements, including Nuns and Catholics around Cincinnati, with devistating effect. McCain promised he could make it all go away.
