Effective at the stroke of midnight, Wednesday, anyone who is under 18 years of age and unvaccinated against the measles
will be barred from public places until this declaration expires in 30 days or until they receive the MMR vaccination.
There have been 161 cases of measles in Rockland County, NY. since October.
The Health Commissioner is frustrated because infected individuals are continuing to go about their business
in common areas, despite been told not to go out into the public.
These include department stores, like Target, as well as food supermarkets using shopping carts.

so, why the hell are they banning unvaccinated people from public instead of the infected people who are infecting others in public?
Typical "knee-jerk" reaction by governmental authorities to control community exposure.
If you cannot control the infected, you co-opt the law abiding, by limiting exposure to the susceptible community.
One article that I saw, suggests that the health commissioner is looking into mandatory compliance
at the risk of legal and civil accountability and consequence.
