10,000 death sentences against traitors is ok with me if there are that many.
And it’s probably a quick count up to 10,000.
I’m not saying go the Stalin route and get rid of 100 million dems, (I go back and forth :) ) but traitors, of course.
Or else they’ll see the penalties are small and others will follow.
Yep - asked and answered.
Democrats being hanged.
You too...:)
Honestly, I am often too cautious to bring up Civil War stuff, there are gazillions of people steeped in the knowledge of it far more than I am (I suspect I am above average in some respects there) and additionally, I didn’t know it until I went in the Navy, but there are a lot of people for whom that war never ended...:)
I remember being called a “Damn Yankee” by a shipmate and I looked around in puzzlement only to see it was directed at me!
Looks like the Gallows has a well built Stairway to Heaven.
I had no idea. If I had to control a prisoner, especially a dangerous one who might kill me if they got a chance, I suspect putting a hood on them would make them less prone to rash action.
Didn’t know it was deemed illegal.
By the UN, of course.
And when you look, it is always a picture from Abu Ghraib.
I admit I always wanted to slap around those douchebags who did that. Not because I had any sympathy for the captured/suspected insurgents, it just made the job of our military harder.
Yep, those folks with a rope around their neck could get hurt real bad.
No, there's one women up there......
Frankie Silvers McDowell County NC 1833ish for the axe murder of husband Charlie??

Maryland was a slave state. (As was Delaware.) The Emancipation Proclamation only affected slavery in states still in rebellion as of January 1, 1863, of which Maryland was not one.
I think Delaware had like 100 or 200 slaves.
Yes, electric bleachers!
Or everybody goes to a stadium with a mirror, and together (community participation) they all get to focus on the perp in the middle of the field.
Wood is very forgiving... I have seen stuff that has been standing for 100 years but code says it wont work!
I am aware of maryland and read the book about the plot to kill lincoln at the baltimore train station when he switched trains to go south for his first inauguration.
Didn’t Lincoln send troops to Baltimore to ensure troop trains from NY and NE got to the battlefields?
Military tribunal because Lincoln was CIC? Was the US still under martial law due to the war? Just asking; I don’t know...
The war didn’t break out suddenly. The first troops sent to defend Washington were assaulted by mobs in Baltimore. Massachusetts troops (considered the most reliably anti-slavery) were sent to Baltimore to secure the route for Northern troops. My great-grandfather (sic) was a member of the New York Militia who fought at first Bull Run.
I recommend the Hour of Peril about the plot. Also good stuff on events leading up to the war after the election. Interesting stuff about Pinkerton

Point was the reply stated she was the first “done” by the Feds.
I’m sure states - and even locales - had already done the duty with a woman or 2.
