The line of questioning toward Texas Longhorns cornerback Kris Boyd turned oddly physiological during the NFL Scouting Combine.
According to ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold, Boyd said one team asked him if he had two testicles. Boyd responded affirmatively and wondered why the query was useful.
The combine is annually an event when teams posit questions to incoming rookies that can vary between peculiar and downright offensive.

“yes, and they’re spectacular!”
A man moves from Scotland to the US and attends his first baseball game. After a base hit he hears the fans roaring, “Run! Run!”
The next batter connects heavily with the ball and the Scotsman stands up and roars with the crowd in his thick accent: “R-r-r-un, yah bloody bahstard. R-r-run!”
A third batter cracks a hard liner and again the Scotsman, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screams, “RRRun, yah bloody bahstard, rrrrun, why don’t ya???”
The next batter holds his swing at three and two and as the umpire calls,”Take your base.” The Scotsman stands up, yelling, “RRRun, ya bahstard, rrrun!” All the surrounding fans giggle quietly so he sits down, very much confused.
A friendly fan, sensing his embarrassment, whispers, “He doesn’t have to run, he’s got four balls.”
The Scotsman stands up in disbelief and shouts, “Wahlk with prrrride, Lad! Walk with prrrride!”
Back in the 1970s I was taking a pre induction draft physical, and they released one guy because he had only one testicle.
It’s an odd question for an athlete. Even if he didn’t have any (unlikely to be at that level of performance) or his testosterone levels were low, he could have shots to bring them up to performance level. They check testosterone levels in them already for performance enhancing drugs.

I agree Kris, strange question indeed.
And if they answer affirmative, the follow up question should be: Are you willing to use them?
Watching the Longhorns play the past few years made me question how many testicles they had.
Maybe it’s like the NHL, where they won’t let you play if you only have one eye because they don’t want the responsibility of you losing the other one.
They ask guys inflammatory or weird questions to guage how they respond. They don’t care about the answer, they care about HOW they answer. Last year rumor has it that an Eagles coach asked a running back prospect if he was gay and implied his mother was a prostitute; they got into a fight. Whatever really happened, the word spread that the interview was a disaster (that was even reported on TV). The Eagles obviously didn’t draft him and his draft stock league wide dropped like a rock, he went at the end of the 2nd round instead of late 1st round as people had expected. Personally, I think if the rumors are true it’s unfair to punish him for that. If someone said my mom was a prostitute I’d have gone off too. Anyone who wouldn’t is they guy I’d pass on. The team is who deserves to be censured but since there was no proof, no punishment. But the player lost a lot of money.
“My reply would have been...No, I NOT married.”
Mine would have been, “Why, are you queer?”
Liberals at UT are allowed to ask such questions. If it’d been a conservative asking, they’d have been fired on the spot.
“Yep, lost one in that hedge-trimming accident but the other two are still hanging in there.”
