BALTIMORE — A Maryland woman whose death last year was blamed on an attack by a panhandler was actually killed by her husband and his adult daughter, police said Sunday.
Keith Smith, 52, had told police that his wife, Jacquelyn, an engineer from Harford County, was trying to give money to a panhandler at a traffic light when she was robbed and fatally stabbed.
Both were arrested in Harlingen, Texas, near the Mexico border. Harrison said the two were preparing to leave the country.
There’s a deep sickness spreading everywhere these days. I just read a story in the Boston Globe about a 71-year-old man in Vermont who raped his 93-year-old mother-in-law on her death bed in a hospice. A nurse caught him in the act.
I can’t wrap my head around that kind of evil.
This is what happens when you devalue the life in the womb, it seeps into society and makes all murder not only possible but easily ventured into.

I’ve lived in two cities mid-way between Dallas and Ft. Worth for 50 years and have NEVER seen panhandlers here. The citizens, businesses and police are not tolerant of such.
I do remember some in downtown Dallas back in the 1960s and can imagine it’s much worse now. Dallas is a liberal Dem blue hole in TX, like Houston, San Antonio and Austin.

They are coming. Just a matter of time. We now have eastern European gypsies in suburban Jacksonville, FL running their scams in front of Walmarts, etc. I never would have imagined that in a million years.

The panhandler down by the local Aldi seems pleasant enough. I’ve seen enough scary panhandlers in downtown Dallas that my guard is usually up, and you never know when the crazy or drugs will kick in with one, however.

A liberal's view of panhandlers on the corner is to "ban" them.
Last time I checked, it was still a free country. Let panhandlers be panhandlers.
Two scars, a clearly remodeled cheek bone, (right side in pic), possible remodeling of right orbital (left side in pic), certain asymmetries that indicate trauma — or severe genetic defects — nose broken at least twice, and a few other things. Easy to see if you know what to look for, but most people don’t. It’s not magic, it’s observation.
My view of roaches is to ban them from my house. I suppose your view is to just ignore them. Panhandlers serve no viable purpose and, instead provide a traffic hazard, reduce property values and breed crime. There are anti-vagrancy laws on the books and they need to be enforced rather than having the left lionize street beggars the way they do illegals.
