Flagstaff broke a 103 year old record with 31.6 in. yesterday as the snowiest day ever.
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. A massive winter storm that dumped several feet of snow across Arizona’s high country will go down in the record books.
By Thursday afternoon, the storm had dropped enough snow to register as the snowiest day ever in Flagstaff—breaking a record that had stood for 103 years.
By evening, the City declared a state of emergency:
The total from midnight to roughly 5:30 p.m. was 31.6 inches, breaking the previous record for snowfall in day of 31.0 inches that was set on December 30, 1915.
A total of 33.1 inches had fallen in the Flagstaff area since the storm moved in late Wednesday night, and wasn’t expected to stop until sometime Friday morning.

Several years ago we had about 3 feet, don’t want to break that record. LOL
I’ve driven through Flagstaff several times. Seems like a nice place - at least from the freeway.
My car thermometer said 39* this morning . I wish they would stop talking about Global Warming. It seems the more they talk about it, the colder it gets.
Looks like another Nature is playing catch-up!
Fifteen inches! Glad your son got a ride.
Three miles is a long way when road conditions is bad.
That’s pretty cold for where you live, BRRRRRRR!
It’s only going to get to 47 in Phoenix today.
On a good note, the county plow just made one pass down our road, usually will do another or two.
Ar least we will be able to get out if we have to.
IMHO, Gore-bull warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the whole world.
Morning Pax!
Not going to complain or find fault with Mother Nature.
She knows we need it! LOL
Morning Rusty.
Hubby was very happy he didn’t have to take the chance of getting stuck, even with 4 wheel drive it can be very harry.

Oh...that Lumber yard marquee is hilarious, Gran.
I hope you’re doing okay with that Snowmaggeddon you’re dealing with :)
:-)

True that. Although....Fox News can’t seem to get enough of JussieNotJessie’s hoax.
That and AOC....all they did, yesterday, was play each story, non-stop. It’s odd how when they’re blabbing on and on about AOC, they tend to show NUMEROUS pics of her....not just one pic, for the segment. It’s like they’re showcasing her, or something.
Hmmmmm.
Fox reported they took the lying Jussie out of the last 2 episodes.
This will upset all his believers.
Cant they give him a lie detector test?
Was sick of this story when it was first reported, thought it was fake and now proven fake and they are going on and on and on.
Interdasting, :-)
Like!
God really answered your prayers for snow! When I was a kid I always wanted to move to Flagstaff. Never did.
2) Water, if directed at humans under the right conditions (high enough volume, high enough velocity or high enough pressure) can be hazardous to your health.

7) Millimeter waves are used by the military in directed energy weapons.
But the energy for this application is amplified (100 KW) and focused in a narrow beam.
Even then, it only warms the outermost layer of the skin and has no known long-term health effects. pic.twitter.com/IUKq6k7MeS— Praying Medic (@prayingmedic) December 28, 2018

That’s COLD for the Southland.
Yes it is. And it has been cold (relatively speaking) every day for about 3 weeks here. One of the longest stretches I can remember.
