Martha stared at me when I talked...clue one. Her speech was somewhat slurred(not a good description...on certain words)...didn't listen to music on ear buds...lacked humor at times. The clues I always watch for..Its why I would write funny things to Sherrie or just write what's going on in the discussion around us. People would look at me strangely writing to her through the day. She would tell me rumors that I later would hear.(LOL)

Some people that have hearing problems talk real loud, or some talk loud because they came from a big family. I had a boss that seemed like he was always yelling at you, but he had hearing problems, so I explained to any new hires and others that he yelled because he couldn’t hear that well. Stopped a lot of misunderstandings.
I always try to make sure my neighbor can see my lips moving when I talk to him. He lost his hearing aids and says the VA won’t buy him anymore for a year or so.

I still can't understand why hearing aids aren't covered under medical. Its so important to hear. My sister tends to yell at times..as in restaurants. She was yelling the last time we were out. She use to have earaches all the time growing up.
