Other than money, biggest issue was Train had to pass from Palo Alto, Los Altos Hills, Artherton. These uber rich of Silicon Valley tycoon were against Train passing from their residence. They were up arms against any construction. No tunnel blasting, or disturbing hills etc.

Exactly. They will claim Trump threatened Mueller or promised him a payoff & just keep on digging. They rationalize it because "there must be something there" and he deserves to be investigated forever, because he is "an evil racist".

They will next go after the Holy Grail - his tax returns. Why won't he turn them over? He's got to be hiding something in those tax returns.

And if they still don't find anything, they will smear, and use innuendos & say you can't re-elect a suspected criminal who is under multiple investigations. Blah, blah, blah

This is very true - I have seen it in many clients. Their refunds are down, because their withholdings are down. I have had to explain this to most of my clients so far. When you show them they earned more money and actually their Total Tax is down resulting in a lower refund, but their withholding is also down, they have a different tone:
