Not only are they unwilling to give dollars for the obviously needed Wall (they overrode recommendations of Border Patrol experts),===t.o.r.o.b.p.e....unscramble...tropes.............. but they don’t even want to take muderers into custody! What’s going on?

And you can use the cheaper cuts of meat, the crock pot will make them Tender by cooking low and slow. Add water if you wanted gravy or juices, but you will always end up with more water than you put in. The meat and vegetable will create its own.

You can even make dessert in a crock pot!

Wow, Carl is in amazing shape!

We were surprised when we moved here how many 90 something’s were still around, and many still active. I think it comes from having a outdoor physical lifestyle. The guy we bought the house from was 92. We were told by the neighbors that the day he packed up and left, he was on a ladder cleaning out the gutters because he wanted to leave the house nice for us. And he had five rescue dogs. Somehow it adds more to the house knowing the previous neighbors were special.

Don’t know about in snow country, but around here kids don’t work at all. And I didn’t see any kids doing lawns in California. Very sad. My son was the only one doing the lawn in our neighborhood.

I think most of the parents spoil the kids. Last summer when I was having arm problems I was looking for some help in my garden. I thought my neighbor with two teenage boys would jump at the chance. Nope, they would rather be inside playing video games.

And now California is going to keep their Federal train money, and that could have been spent on the wall. They’re going to build a short leg from Bakersfield to Merced! I lived there, I know nobody’s going to ride that train. There’s a perfectly good Highway that goes between those cities, plus nobody lives in one city and then commutes to the other. That makes no sense.

I made a pot roast the other day. I should probably give you the instructions. Super easy. I put a chuck roast in the Crock-Pot after liberally sprinkling meat tenderizer all over it. I let it sit for a half hour before cooking. Then put it in the Crock-Pot with a cup of beef broth. Because of course you have to have gravy! Springfield in some garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper. I put it on low for probably five to six hours. I cook my potatoes and carrots separately, just because I’m never sure when to add them. And I wanted to thicken up the gravy with some cornstarch. By the way, don’t dump flour into the crock pot and it will lump up immediately. Even if you mix it with water first. It doesn’t cook it fast enough I think so cornstarch works better. But if you don’t want to thicken up your gravy you can just throw in the potatoes and carrots, probably after a couple hours of the meat cooking. They don’t need quite as much time.
