I think that’s why I couldn’t finish atlas shrugged. She didn’t even a better job creating a gloomy atmosphere. I felt like I was reading about a town that was in black-and-white. If that makes sense.

Sorry LG. Just saw your post. I’m doing well. I’ve been quite busy lately and only get on here from time to time. Of course the TFT is my go to place to keep up.
You are much appreciated for keeping the train moving.
Mom turns 90 in May. This is the first year it’s been rough to be caretaker. Her memory has begun to fail and now I have to do all the cooking and cleaning. Trust me when I say how much I am amazed at what women are able to do. I’m great at making soups, so we have soup/stew and cornbread lots. Up until a year ago she could still cook so I’ve been spoiled. But honestly it’s good to give back.

Maybe some of you are caretakers and can relate. We play a lot of Yahtzee (her favorite game), and she loves her Hallmark movies. I get a lot done outside and in the garage while she’s watching.

President Trump had an outstanding SOTU and rally. We have to stick by him. I shudder to think what will happen if he loses in 2020. The Dems will have illegals voting en masse. We have to work our butts off and pony up $$$

Crock pots are great for complete dinners. Just wrap meat/ vegetables in separate foil packages if you don’t want stew etc.

I hadn’t thought of that. Like put chicken in one foil, potatoes in another?

No water needed. I’ve even added small packet of green beans with onion and bacon and bake an apple in another. Today put a pork loin for pulled pork next to sweet potatoes. THe meat is usually tender since I double wrap to keep the natural juices in. Flavors don’t mix and the house smells so good. We also put chicken/ rice (with onion and celery) in pot. Usually add a small can of chicken broth and no foil for that dish.

I'll be trying this soon. Getting hungry just thinking about the pork loin and sweet potatoes. I like the no clean up part 👍 Thank you! Would never have thought of this. Reminds me of campfire meals in foil. But we would meat and potatoes all together in one foil.

I’ve done ham,potatoes etc all in one foil. May have melted a little cheese on top. Somewhere a pamphlet about cooking in foil ended up on cookbook shelf. Might search for it on line.

The cargo planes are going over tonight. Woke the dogs and I both up. They will continue until dawn. Sigh!

He at least knows what he is dealing with Has been around the block before and is a bit more experienced this time. He will have plenty to do with all the arrests being done for human trafficking around the country there surly are some RICO cases out there.

I agree, he will be experienced already. But I just hope he is going to deal with the judicial malpractice that has gone on with Andrew Weissman and the Mueller investigation (for instance the treatment of that guy (cannot remember his name) who was treated like a hardened dangerous criminal when he was arrested). Also, hoping he will deal with the Hillary/DNC collusion with the Russians instead of ignoring it.

Let’s just hope he is effective and efficient in helping to clean out the swamp that is the Justice Department and the FBI.

A while back, hubby came across the 1984 movie, we started watching, I never finished, so dark, too depressing.

We are on a slippery slope in this country, if we allow the AOC’s of the US to continue winning, we are doomed.

Can’t get over how jaded and utterly stupid she and her ilk are.

But the dims have been working on dumbing down the population for years, they have truly succeeded with her generation.
