National Guard general admits his ribbons were upside down during State of the Union (Air Force).
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
Who cares and who would have noticed it if some dumbass youtuber hadn't made an ass of himself and pointed it out?
As a vet, I could not care less and for the record have no idea what any of those ribbons represent.........
Sorry bro but I ain't adding any supporting glue to help stick that shit on the wall..........
Yes, there is instruction on how ex military personnel can wear their ribbons and medals with civilian clothing. Just cannot cite the DoD directive that prescribes this.
I have no idea what you’re getting at. Why not just say what you think? We’ve already learned that you believe military members should be allowed to wear their medals however they see fit and anyone who disagrees is a leftist. Anything else?
Lol!
As a General, he should always be aware of his uniform. I do believe he should receive a punishment. A regular grunt would be punished for such a thing.
I figure this General would not be aware if the flag was hoisted upside down. Attention to detail, sir.
I already have but I'm willing to repeat myself.....
I ain't adding any supporting glue to help stick that shit on the wall......clear enough?
Like I said, had it not been for the posting of this dumbass Youtuber, nobody in the world would have noticed the arrangement of the general's medals, especially you.......
So what was the purpose of the video if not to malign our military, especially by a phony jackass dressed up as a drill sergeant?
So take your self righteous indignation somewhere else..........Sheesh!
You have indicated that you support the general's actions.
Some Generals aide is looking for a new job.
Unfortunately for the aide, he won’t get to pick his next job.
This is something and junior grade officer learns like the back of his hand, or better. By the time they’re a Major they’ve memorized the medals and their order a dozen times over.
The general did this himself. He would have recognized it from across a room long before he put on the jacket.
I agree, but his aide (if he has one) will most likely be shown the door for not double checking his setup beforehand.
An Article 15 oughta do it.
Probably Academy grads. It’s something they might let a ROTC guy do. You can bet they’ll razz his azz.
Active Duty ping.
If he’s that senile that he doesn’t know his medals are being worn wrong, he needs to be retired immediately. If he did it in protest, he needs to be relieved of duty immediately. As in insubordination and insulting the CIC.
In other words, I say what a schmuck and I say that as the widow of a USAF retired pilot who served in Nam.
I’d wager he hasn’t pinned his rack on in so long he doesn’t know what a lot of the ribbons are for...
He should be fired? For an (albeit stupid) uniform screw-up? That's not ridiculous at all...
So he was fine that treasonous POS Obongo as CIC?
WTF does that have to do with ANYTHING?
American flag is flown upside down in times of distress. If this was an honest mistake, were is @ChiefNGB apology to Pres and the American people? Was it really a mistake? Or something else.
I dont really care if this was an honest mistake, but evidently Gen. Mattis, Gen. Kelly, and Gen. McMasters thought nothing about talking against Trump behind his back. If this is a wink and nod, the general needs to be called out on it.
Hes the one that keeps putting it out there on facebook and twitter.
“So you did “more important things” while wearing the dress uniform? “
No, that’s not what I said. I said I had more important things to do than learn how to put all that crap on. If I had free time to read something, I chose to read about how to do my job of killing or not getting killed better.
I left the details of the dress blues to the REMFs.
